The site counts page views and clicks on booking buttons with its own first-party script. Each event records the page, the kind of click, the referring website, the country (from the network, not from your device) and the time. It sets no cookies and stores no IP address or device identifier with these events. Your browser keeps a few settings for the session, such as the travel dates you enter, which never leave your device.

If you sign up for emails or send a message, the email address, name and message you give are stored with the date, the page you were on, your country and your IP address, to answer you and to stop abuse. They are not shared or sold. You can unsubscribe from any email, or ask for your data to be deleted, through the contact form.

A booking button takes you to Expedia, GetYourGuide or the hotel’s own website, whose own privacy policy then applies. Their links carry a reference that tells them the click came from this site; it does not identify you. The availability calendars on tour pages are GetYourGuide’s and are loaded from GetYourGuide once the page has opened.

Outside the UK, Ireland, the United States and Canada, hotel pages may show an "Also on Booking.com" button. It links through Stay22, an affiliate partner, to the same hotel on Booking.com; to decide whether to show it, the site asks its own server which country you are visiting from, and stores nothing. Stay22’s and Booking.com’s privacy policies apply once you follow the link.

The site is served by Cloudflare. Maps are drawn with tiles from OpenFreeMap and the MapLibre library, which are loaded only when a map comes into view.
