Kawaji Onsen, Kinugawa OnsenTAOYA Kawaji opened on 1 February 2025 in Kawaji Onsen, a small hot-spring village up the valley from Kinugawa, as the seventh resort of Oedo Onsen Monogatari's TAOYA brand. The brand's price covers dinner, breakfast and drinks with dinner, so the bill at the end holds no surprises.
The draw is the rock open-air bath beside the river. Kawaji is much quieter than Kinugawa, with a few inns along the gorge, and it suits travellers who want an easy, all-included night after Edo Wonderland or the Kinugawa river boat.
